We are a 100% volunteer-run organization. We’re not in the game to make the big bucks: we’re in it for the mission.

We are on a mission to make theatre accessible to the central Arkansas community in order to cultivate growth and connections within the diverse human population.

We carefully choose the stories we tell on stage to portray important issues in our community, in the hopes that we can spark valuable conversations and deep thoughts that bring our community together.

All our performances take place at St. Peter’s Parish Hall. The address is 925 Mitchell Street in Conway Arkansas, right across from the Junior High! Plenty of parking is available, as well as wheelchair accessible entrances. The Parish Hall is a separate building with a big red door, and there will be signs and greeters to welcome you in. Doors typically open about a half hour before performances begin.

Part of our dream at The Lantern is to foster more original and local works! We host a Writers Group that meets virtually to workshop and discuss works in progress, and we host free monthly readings at the Conway Public Library for our writers to hear their works performed and receive feedback from the community. We are SO grateful to our friends at St. Peter’s for generously lending us their Parish Hall for rehearsals and performances, and we are thankful they give us a space to exist. But to clarify, The Lantern is not a church group or religious organization.
